原I think Roxy would make a cute nickname or a name for a pet, but I'd stick with Roxanne, Roxana or the like for a girl's full legal name. That way she can have a nickname to use with close friends and family as well as a more mature name to use when applying for a job or speaking with acquaintances.
原My name is Roxanne and people call me Roxy for short. Everyone loves it and not once has anyone called it a trashy name. I think it's cute and original, I've never met another Roxanne or Roxy before (:
