原While doing some family research about a year ago, I found an ancestor of mine whose given name was Hjalmar. Ever since then I have thought this name looks so majestic. It sounds very masculine, mature and strong, and I believe it's one of my favorite names out there! :)
原Hjalmar Söderberg was a Swedish novelist and playwright. His works include Doktor Glas (1905). Söderberg is greatly appreciated in his native country, and is sometimes considered to be the equal of August Strindberg, Sweden's national bard. A recent new translation of Doktor Glas into English, as Doctor Glas, and with an introduction by Margaret Atwood, has meant a soar in his popularity in the Anglo-Saxon literary world.
