原I really like this name. Heilyn has a very pleasant sound and an interesting meaning, and it doesn't sound like it's going to get popular anytime soon. It's disyllabic, simple and mature enough for any guy, even if he wasn't Welsh. But I would say because of pronunciation difficulties, and the existence of people who think that names that end with -lyn MUST be feminine, that if you don't live in Wales, it would be best as a middle name.
Now, it really does annoy me when people say that long established male names like Heilyn and Naoise are feminine. You're being completely ignorant of other people's cultures. The world doesn't end with the borders of America, and having names like "Lashay" and "Nevaeh" really doesn't say a lot for your country.

And I'm so tired of all these people commenting about how lyn/wyn endings don't sound masculine "but would be so pretty on a girl!".

译 这听起来太女性化在我看来与-lyn结局。我爱一个女孩虽然!新,漂亮,不同!
