原Zénaïde Bonaparte (1801-1854) was a niece of Napoleon. She was married to her cousin Charles, an ornithologist who named the Zenaida doves of Mexico after her.
原My aunt's name is Zenaide, spelled that way without the accents. That side of the family (my dad's) is Portuguese, from the Azores. She pronounces her name zeh-NIED (IE representing the long "i" sound).
