I know two Skyler's, both of them live in the sticks, are covered in tattoos and define their worth through what truck they drive.

I grew up in Virginia and since my dad was a sculptor, I was named after a neighboring town, Schuyler, which had a quarry where my dad got his soapstone. After my parents decided to name me Schuyler though, my mom had to keep looking up the name in the phone book in order to spell it correctly, so they decided to go with the phonetic spelling instead of the way the town's name was spelled. (Which is how I ended up with the name Skyler.)
When I was a newborn, my mom ran into a very pregnant Sissy Spacek in the grocery store. She said, "What a beautiful baby!" and asked my mom what my name was. My mom told her, "Skyler." She had her baby soon afterwards and named her Schuyler and so my mom has always maintained that Sissy Spacek named her daughter after me.
