原I think the right interpretation of the name Ekenedilichukwu is Thanks be to God not all praise be to God. Ekenedilichukwu is my first name, I am a female and I know the circumstances surrounding my birth warranted my name.
原It looks perfectly pronounceable to me. I mean, since African languages were transcribed by Europeans using European phonetics, just break it down... It's only intimidating-looking since it's so long and unfamiliar. Eh-KEH-neh-DEE-lee-CHOOK-woo, is my guess. As for spelling, this would actually be a great name for kids to learn off of - since it's (probably) phonetic, you can just point to any part of the name (ex. 'chu'), pronounce, and hey presto! They correctly learn that 'ch' makes the 'ch' sound, and 'u' makes the 'oo' sound.
Honestly, un-anglicized Irish names are WAY harder. Even the earlier 'Aleluia' example is less spelling-friendly, since your kid is gonna have to learn that in every case except his name, the 'y' sound is not supposed to be spelled using an 'i'.
That being said, no, don't use it, please. Just, no. Ekene, maybe.

原Good luck teaching your child how to spell their own name. I'm gonna have a go at pronouncing it and saying 'ee-KEN-ed-illy-choo-kwoo'. Of course that is purely based on a guess. But it sounds like a lovely name even so.
原Well, I think anyone can agree that this is certainly a unique name. I probably wouldn't name my kid this, but if you offered me a million dollars, I would and I would call him Ned.
