原I was blessed with this beautiful and unique name. It's pronounced Ash-lee-uh... So saying that it's just a different way of spelling the common name "Ashley" (Ash-lee) is not correct... Sorry. I can also relate to the above comment from AshleaR... I've gotten nothing but very polite and supportive remarks when commenting on my name. I've always received compliments and just about everyone that I talk to say how beautiful and different/creative the name is. And after living 28+ years and receiving nothing but compliments on my name I feel it goes to show that a name that can look so common when spelled out in black and white and sound very unique and beautiful when verbally said aloud. So try to be open minded... Listen to someone who has grown up with the name their entire life and hear how they say it before just assuming that it's nothing but an overused common name. Or simply sound it out. How would you say the name Leah/Lea... (Lee-uh) yes? Well then, it would be the same in this case but it simply follows the name Ash.
原My mother gave me this beautiful name and so many people have complimented me on how beautiful it is. Mostly the Afrikaans pronounce my name wrong but other than that it is pronounced correctly.
原This is what happens when names become extremely overused. Those crazy parents who like the name but decide they want to be "unique" make up some crazy spelling that ends up sounding even worse. My suggestion? Just don't use Ashley or any of its variants at all.
原It looks more mature than Ashley, but I'm not too fond of the idea that it might be pronounced ''ASH-lee-ah'', as that just doesn't sound right. The name COULD be pronounced as ''ASH-lee'', though, with a LONG ''ee'' sound at the end, as normally, it is pronounced with a short ''ee'' sound, and for some reason, names with a short ''ee'' sound at the end come across as more immature than names with a long ''ee'' sound at the end. But that would sound weird because of all the Ashleys with the typical pronunciation. So, it would be better to opt out of using this overused name altogether.

我真的很喜欢这个名字,因为它不像Ashleigh那样常见,即使这也很好。我要我的女儿叫阿什利。
原I really like this name because it isn't as common as Ashleigh even thought that is nice too. I want my daughter to be called Ashlea.
