原I have to disagree with the majority of posters saying this is a boys name. The Latin word 'Lux' is feminine, and that alone is enough to reassure me that it's a girls name. It's not just because of The Virgin Suicides that it's being used on girls. I think this name is really refreshing because it's one of the few names that were originally for girls that are now used on boys, as opposed to boy names being used on girls (Madison, Morgan, Ashley, etc.). I love it and plan on naming my first daughter this.
