原I quite like this name but prefer Bryony. Sister Briony was one of the nuns in the movie "Black Narcissus" starring Deborah Kerr as Sister Clodagh, based on the novel by Rumer Godden. In the movie Briony is pronounced like Brian with a y at the end. I had hoped it would be pronounced with a stressed OH sound in the middle, but at least I found out how to pronounce it.

原I like this name. It’s a bit unconventional and alternative and it has a kinda androgynous and reversible sound to it. I only like the spelling Briony, though (can’t stand the look of the double Ys). And I really liked the novel "Atonement" (haven't seen the film, though, can't tell if it does Briony Tallis any justice).
原I had a rather odd dream a few nights ago that I had identical twin girls, named Briony Lee, and Cecily Faye. I'm taking this as a sign and keeping these names in my memory.
