They both died before I was born. My aunt was born Anna, but after a high fever that wouldn't break, my grandfather out of desperation, asked the gypsies for help. They told her parents to change the girl's name to a compound, with three syllables and 6 letters. Anna became Marian. Then the gypsy gave her some herbal concoction and her fever broke the next day. Love the family story. Proud to honour my ancestors!
