原Nehemiah is my name, which means "the lord has comforted" or "comforted by Yahweh". I pray and wish that God will grant me that I become like Nehemiah in the Bible. He's my mentor.
原The reason a lot of Biblical names end in the "iah" is because that is one way of saying G-d in Hebrew. So if a name means "G-d comforts", it's Nechemia. If it means "G-d is great", it's Gedalya. If it means "G-d's friend", it's Yedidya, etc. It's not a naming convention, just a religious convention.
