Naming your kid after some celebrity; someone you will NEVER see in person and doesn't even know your existence is just senseless. And the fact that just because her name is Bryce, that the name is OK for females. Lady, you gave your daughter a masculine name and there is nothing that will ever change that (unless you plan to change her name, of course, which I very much doubt) Bryce Dallas Howard- whole name is masculine! I hate to think about how many times she was mistaken for a boy while growing up. There's not a single feminine name she can fall back on. The poor thing.
原I named my youngest daughter Bryce after Bryce Dallas Howard. I live in England and is very uncommon around here but I absolutely love the name for my little girl. Although it has mixed feelings about it, whenever I tell anyone what her name is they all respond with "aww that's lovely and different" just the response I wanted.
原I can't say I'm particularly fond of this name. Though it may just be because I have a negative association with a Bryce. But even if I didn't have that association, it just comes off to me as a shrill sounding name.
原African American's have a unique heritage and so what we name our children will be what we deem. Bryce means, Third Son with Favor; charismatic and charming.
原If we ever have a second son this will most like be the middle name or at least a variant- Briace this may seem trendy or kr8ve but it has a deeper meaning than that; Bruce is my father's name and Brian is his father's middle and grandfathers first name. Plus it looks and goes well with the first name choice.
